State will start to reopen lower-risk businesses beginning this Friday
(Sacramento) - Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell (D - Long Beach) issued the following statement in support of the Governor’s remarks that the state will allow lower-risk workplaces to reopen beginning this Friday.
“I support the Governor’s gradual reopening of California, which will help our economy and get people back to work while keeping us safe,” said Assemblymember O’Donnell. “We need to remember to be cautious and cooperative during this time as the pandemic is still impacting communities.”
Today, the Governor announced the next stage of his stay-at-home order that would allow some lower-risk businesses to reopen, including retail locations, manufacturing sites and small businesses. Some counties, however, may have stricter guidelines and will not re-open.
Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell represents the 70th Assembly District, which includes Long Beach, Signal Hill, San Pedro and Catalina Island.
