Virtual Opening of the Center to Close the Opportunity Gap

Center Championed by Assemblymember O’Donnell Will Call CSU Long Beach Home


(Long Beach) – The California State University (CSU) and Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell (D – Long Beach) will be holding a virtual ceremony to launch the CSU Center to Close the Opportunity Gap.

Assemblymember O’Donnell championed the Center’s establishment and secured its funding last year. Speakers will discuss the Center’s vision and goal of serving as a central resource educators will use to close the achievement gap in K-12 schools. The Center will identify and house the best practices associated with achieving student academic success.
